The Live Animal Market in Vlora is conveniently located and includes a wide variety of animals.

The location is very accessible and easy to find.

The market is located on Rruga Nikolla Xhuveli on the east side of the Main Roundabout coming from Tirana, and Rruga Gjergj Kastrioti.

What kinds of Poultry are sold at the market?

The market sells all types of poultry including:

- - chickens from chicks, replacement or starter hens, and roosters to meat birds
  - Turkeys for your holiday meal or to start a flock of your own. There is a span of a few months when a lot of turkeys are available.
  - Guinea Hens
  - Ducks of all ages
  - Peacocks
  - Geese

You can get the poultry you want to start your egg-laying or meat bird operation.

As well as that perfect Turkey or chicken for the table.

It even includes small livestock and rabbits.

In addition to Poultry, there are goats and sheep to purchase.

Most of the goats and sheep are lambs and kids.

If you want a milking goat or a sire for your herd, just ask the vendors where to get one.

They are in a convenient location with a nice parking lot.

Located on Rruga Gjergj Kastrioti near the Rruga Kosova and Rruga Sazani intersection. Their exact map location is Here.

To help get to their location the Vlora City Bus will stop on Rruga Kosova near there. It is a short walk to the store, heading north on Rruga Gjergj Kastrioti. The store will be on your right, can’t miss it.

Looking for a quick lunch or a tall glass of fresh juice? Look no further than the Coelho Juice bar. Enjoy!

Coelho Juice Bar serves up delicious juices, smoothies, and food in a great location.

They are a family, Mother and Son owned and operated business that opened in 2017.

The Coelho Juice Bar is ready to serve you in two locations- one in Tirana owned by the Son and one in Vlora owned by the Mother.

They are open every day from 8 AM to 11 PM including Sundays.

To help you get to the Juice Bar you can take the Vlora City Bus. Several buses stop nearby. Check out the map below or for more information check Here.

They make fresh juices and smoothies, crepes, sandwiches, salads, protein shakes, and hot drinks.

The smoothies are really smooth. They are made with freshly squeezed juice which is added to the fresh fruits and vegetables that make up the smoothie. I had a tropical smoothie and it was super good!

They are tucked into a corner of a building or located along a street.

What products does a small grocery store have?

Small Grocery Stores stock a variety of products.

Including coffee, teas, baking products, paper goods, bathroom items, laundry products as well as various personal products.

In addition, canned and boxed items such as cereals, baked goods, beans, tomatoes, salad dressing, and canned milk.

Equally important are bread and eggs!

Don’t forget the water, alcohol, and cigarettes.

What about fresh produce?

Some, if not most, small grocery stores have fresh produce for sale.

The Salvadore hotel, restaurant, and seafood market offers an exceptional experience!

Start your vacation at the Salvadore hotel with a great restaurant, and seafood market.

They are conveniently located, family-owned, and operated.

The Salvadore was established in 2012.

They are a family-owned and operated business with a hotel, seafood restaurant, and seafood market.

Having their own boat allows them to bring fresh seafood to the market every morning.

The fact that the whole establishment smelled clean, fresh, and not fishy, really surprised me.

They are just down the street from a large, nice grocery store the Sapori Market.

In addition, they are within walking distance to the Main Mall and the beach.

The Vlora City Bus “Tulla Unaze” stops next to the Salvadore location.

Furthermore, you can get a bus to anywhere in Vlora, from the Main Mall.

The restaurant is a seafood exclusive establishment.

The restaurant is beautifully arranged with nice furnishings. It can seat from 60 to 70 people and provides a clean and pleasurable dining experience.

There are two options for ordering. The first option is the usual route of sitting down and ordering from the menu.

The second option is to pick your fresh seafood and they will cook it for you. You pay the price of the seafood that you picked.

In addition, to have the fish cooked on the grill there is a 200 lek charge which is about 1.5 euros or $1.75.

Any side dishes and drinks, to complete the meal, are added on at a reasonable price.

They serve all manner of side dishes to accompany the main seafood dish.

They offer a killer fish soup!!

There are currently 10 rooms in the hotel but they are adding four more next year.

In Vlora, many places sell Produce in The Market. Including street markets, Supermarkets, and grocery stores.

Vlora provides all the essentials as well as a variety of specialty fruits and vegetables.

Whether you are a vegan, vegetarian, or not, there is a wide variety of produce in the market.

With such a variety of year-round and seasonal fruits and vegetables, where does one begin to choose?

From the corner market to the Supermarket the variety of produce is stable year-round. Some of the produce is imported and some are grown locally.

The variety of year-round fruits includes apples, oranges, pineapple, lemons, limes, and avocado.

Some of the seasonal fruits are melons, strawberries, pears, persimmons, and kiwi fruits. Persimmon trees abound in Albania for example just north of Tirana, along the road where there are large orchards.

The year-round vegetables come in quite a variety with the staples such as greens, potatoes, onions, and garlic. In addition to leeks, sweet peppers, squash, tomatoes, eggplant, and carrots.

A large spinach variety is grown in Vlora as well as some very nice green leaf lettuce.

The seasonal offerings include green beans, yellow wax beans, and small cucumbers.

My favorite is Hot Cocoa, named hot chocolate in the US, of the various beverage offerings.

The hot cocoa is just like it should be, sweet enough, and liquid, like milk, not like a pudding. The Hot chocolate, on the other hand, is made from a pudding base and gets thick like a custard.

Are you looking for a restaurant with fine dining in Vlora Albania? You have come to the right place, the Yacht restaurant!!

Yacht restaurant offers easy access, a beautiful interior with a great view and excellent food.

The Yacht restaurant with fine dining is easily accessible by car or public transportation.

The restaurant is located in the Uji I Ftohte area by the beach. Their map location is Here.

There are three Uji I Ftohte buses that stop near the restaurant. Using the Vlora City Bus map, the furthest Blue Bus to the south is where the restaurant is located. The map is at the bottom of this page. For more in-depth information see Vlora City Bus Information.

The Yacht restaurant with fine dining presents a beautiful interior along with a fantastic view.

Upon entering the restaurant, one is enchanted by the exquisite interior. From the beautiful architecture and large windows to the formally set tables. In addition, comfortable chairs.

To take in the view of Vlora Bay, sit at a window-side table or on the veranda. The view is a great way to complement your dining experience.

One fine day, I decided to try a fine dining restaurant. As I was near the Yacht restaurant, I went in to see what kind of restaurant they were. I liked what I saw so I decided to have lunch with them.

I ordered the Salmon with a citrus sauce and passion fruit. It was my first tasting of Passion fruit which was very good. It has edible seeds and is sweet, for those that have never had it.

The fish soup was very good. It did not have a fishy smell, tasted fresh, and included small pieces of fish. The lemon wedge provided just the right amount of tang!

Everything was hot and nicely presented.

Something I always heard was “out of this world” is Crème Brulee. I just had to try it! Well, the rumors are true, it is one of the most delicious desserts. Splendid, very rich vanilla-like pudding with a caramelized sugar-coated top.

The water I was offered was in a glass bottle from Italy, Acqua Panna, which is excellent water. Along with the water I had fresh-squeezed orange juice, which was great.

The bill was even high-end, which I expected. Then again, the food was fantastic!!

TAVERNA E MIQESISE IN NARTË

Delicious food, a beautiful location and great waiters make the Taverna E Miqesise in Nartë a must-go place.

The Taverna E Miqesise in Nartë is in a great location with an excellent menu as well as helpful staff.

The restaurant, located before entering Nartë, sits beside a beautiful stream.

The Taverna E Miqesise in Nartë is located near the sign to the trailhead of the “Vjosë-Nartë” Delta Protected Landscape.

There is a beautiful stream with a grassy area running along the north side of the restaurant. A quaint wooden bridge crosses the stream to enter Nartë.

Across the street from the restaurant sits a Visitor Information Center. On the outside is a map of the “Vjosë-Nartë” Delta Protected Landscape and the birds within it. It shows the trailhead including the trail around the area.

The restaurant, across the road, is accessed by stairs leading up to a covered walkway. The walkway is wide allowing outside dining.

The Taverna E Miqesise in Nartë has a great menu and staff.

Upon entering the restaurant one is greeted by a spacious and nicely decorated room. In addition to a pleasant atmosphere with ambient music playing.

The staff is welcoming and very helpful.

The menu is mostly seafood although steak is offered as well as other options.

There is a bar along with a variety of wines to choose from.

Let me tell you about my experience at the Taverna E Miqesise.

I wanted to see the town of Nartë, but on my way, I saw the Taverna restaurant. After checking the reviews on Tripadvisor, as they were encouraging, I decided to give them a try.

The waiter was very nice and spoke English. He helped me decide what to order by answering my questions about the menu items.

The food was hot and delicious. From the bread to the olives and yogurt, as well as the fish soup and finally the main dish. I had the seafood medley with linguine and it is something that I have since returned for.

I had a great experience and I highly recommend them!!

The restaurant has great hours and various ways to connect with them.

The Fredi Pasticeri is a family business, with a great location and excellent desserts.

Family-owned and operated since 2003.

The Fredi Pasticeri started in Vlora Albania almost 20 years ago. The Fredi Kapo family were working in Greece before they returned to Vlora to start the bakery. Since then they have been creating delicious desserts.

Fredi Pasticeri is in a convenient location.

It is conveniently located across from the park, on the north end of town as well as near the Vlora Police station. Furthermore, there is a bus stop, where almost all the buses stop, at the park. To assist you in getting to the Fredi Pasticeri, by bus, check out the Vlora City Bus Map.

Fredi Pasticeri offers freshly made desserts with the largest selection in Vlora.

The family makes fresh desserts daily. The only items not made, by them, are some chocolate candies. They are brought in from Turkey and other countries however they do make very delicious chocolate with whole almonds.

The family makes a wide range of different desserts including pies, cakes, tarts, cookies, as well as other types of desserts.

They even make custom birthday cakes for you. Their cakes are very beautiful!
