The receptionist was very nice and helpful. She said they could fix them and would call me when they were ready to pick up.

She gave me a call and I headed back to the clinic to get my glasses. When I arrived, Dr. Eugen Dautllari, the owner greeted me. I asked him about his business and let him know that I was very grateful for him fixing my glasses.

Look no further, Metrazhe Italiane has you covered!!

The Metrazhe Italiane fabric shop, located in Tirana Albania, sells a wide assortment of quality, inexpensive fabrics.

The Metrazhe Italiane fabric store is located on Rruga Ferit Xhajko, Shop 3, in Tirana.

There are many other small fabric shops along this street.

They each have their own class of fabrics that they sell.

Some are more specialized and high-end, with expensive, high quality fabrics and some are on the other end of the spectrum, with inexpensive fabrics.

Metrazhe Italiane, in Tirana Albania, stocks a large quantity of quality, inexpensive fabrics and the store is packed to the brim!

Even though nearly all of the space is taken up by bolts and bolts of fabric, you will never know what you can find until you take a deep dive into it!

She has a wide variety of fabrics, sold by the meter or bolt, at great prices. The prices are less than what we pay here in Vlora on some of the fabrics. However, the quality is comparable.

Specifically, she offers a great selection for dressmakers. Some of the fabrics she stocks are: Cotton, Cotton Prints, Polyester, Flannel, Knits, Stretch Knits, Rayon, Linens, Wool and Wool blends, Blends, Specialty Fabrics, Seasonal and Holiday Prints.

She also stocks some upholstery fabrics.

I, being a dressmaker, have bought many meters of fabric from her and am very happy with them.

Within the Hotel Martini’s location, accommodations, bar and restaurant you can find whatever you desire……

The Hotel Martini in Vlora Albania, location and staff are wonderful!

The Hotel Martini is in a great location, situated in the center of Vlora.

Updated in the last two years, the Hotel Martini looks great.

The Owner is very nice and helpful along with his staff. He speaks Albanian, Italian and English.

There is every kind of shopping experience within walking distance of the Hotel. The Vlora city bus or a taxi will take you to further destinations.

The Hotel Martini has the perfect accommodation for you and your family.

The Hotel consists of 20 total rooms, 10 single and 10 double, naturally the double rooms are very large.

You could book the whole hotel to accommodate a large party of guests, on the contrary, book a nice quiet room for yourself!

The Hotel Martini, situated in the center of town, is very quiet at night.

Personally, I have had the pleasure of staying at the Hotel Martini. What really surprised and pleased me, is the hospitality of the staff in addition to the area being so quiet at night. My room was on the first floor, on the backside of the hotel and included a small refrigerator. I found the room clean, nicely arranged with a comfortable bed. Of course, I had a great experience!

The Hotel Martini includes an onsite Restaurant and Bar, for your dining and entertainment pleasure.

The restaurant dining room accommodates a large party, up to 30 diners or a nice romantic dinner for two. In addition, situated off the dining room, is a nice patio, for an outside dining experience.

In conclusion, Hotel Martini, restaurant and bar, is a great place to stay and eat when you are in Vlora, Albania. Along with a central location, friendly staff and very reasonably priced rooms, book yours today!

VLORA ALBANIA FERRY TO ITALY

Taking the Vlora Albania Ferry is quite an adventure and a great way to get your family, pets and vehicles between Vlora Albania and Italy!

Two ferry services sail between Vlora Albania and Brindisi Italy.

The two ferries, the Galaxy and the Ionian Star, are there to get you to your destination.

The Galaxy, operated by A-Ships Management S.A. Company sails between Vlora, Albania and Brindisi, Italy year-round. They make five sailings a week with the voyage taking about seven hours each way.

The Ionian Star, operated by European Ferries, sails between Vlora, Albania and Brindisi, Italy, year-round. They sail twice a week, taking about seven hours each way.

The Port of Vlora has two areas, the Vlora Bay, where the Ferry docks and disembarks and the Port Entrance where you prepare to embark.

The Ferries dock in the Bay of Vlora at the Port of Vlora. When you are ready to embark on your journey to Italy, the Vlora Port entrance is on Rruga Hektor Shyti. It is off Rruga Kosova just past the IdeaVino Wine Store, located Here. The Port of Vlora has a nice website, in Albanian, with beautiful photos at https://www.portivlore.com/.

A couple of different resources are available to help you plan your trip.

You can check out information about the Ferry companies, schedules and about buying tickets.

The first one and I think the best option is the website Directferries.com. They have extensive information regarding the ports, ferry schedules and ticketing along with general information. Within the website, there is a map of all the ports on the Countries Tab by selecting a continent/region. Even though the map is at the bottom of the page, it is very informative!! If you are interested in each port and a brief summary it is in the Route/Port Finder Tab. Go down the page and select Ferry Ports, then the port you are interested in.

The second option is Travel Agencies located outside the Vlora Port, along Rruga Hektor Shyti. They have information on the Ferries along with other transportation options such as Airlines and Bus Tours. The agents are there to help you get the information you need!

TAXI SERVICES IN VLORA ALBANIA

The Ins and Outs of traveling by taxi in Vlora Albania and beyond!

Some General Information is in Order:

Base price in town is 300 lek or about €2.5
The drivers are safe, very nice, helpful and trustworthy
They provide clean and well-kept cars
Taxis are great if you cannot wait for the bus or it does not go where you need it to
They are convenient to take shopping: they will look after your purchases as you pile them in
Taxis not only serve Vlora, they service all other places inside Albania
Private Transfer from or to Tirana is within the $90 to $100 range. Ask before taking a trip.

Gjergji (pronounced Georgi) is one of the nicest Taxi Drivers in Vlora that I have had the pleasure of helping me.

He speaks Albanian and Italian and is a very good, safe driver.

You can call him at 069 232 9547 or use WhatsApp.

As Well As Some Tips:

Always take a taxi with a meter in it. The people who say they are taxis and do not have a meter negotiate the price, which is always higher.
They appreciate a tip but it is not required.

Where to catch a taxi:

Sometimes in the street
There are some designated taxi stands in town
Someone can call one for you, just make sure they have a meter in the taxi
Usually near the big roundabouts
Getting the business card from a driver you like is the best way

Shortcuts to communicate with your regular Taxi driver:

I send a photo of the place I am near, from WhatsApp and he will confirm that he is available.
Use the Google Translator and Whatsapp to communicate with the driver.

Beni, my regular taxi driver, who owns Beni Taxi, takes people to Tirana frequently. He will take you anywhere within Albania.

He is very reliable, kind, honest and a safe driver, in addition he keeps his car in pristine condition inside and out.

In conclusion, traveling by taxi in Vlora Albania and beyond is a great way to go.

Mulliri The Coffee Company, in Vlora Albania, is a great place to meet with friends or strangers, alike!

Breakfast or Lunch At Mulliri Anyone?

Mulliri The Coffee Company is conveniently located next to Neptun in the Waikiki Shopping Center at the Beach Roundabout. There is a Vlora City Bus stop right outside, for your convenience.

It is a perfect place to have your morning coffee, along with a muffin or a chocolate filled croissant. Enjoy a breakfast meet up with your friends.

If you are out on the town at lunchtime, you can stop in and indulge in some very fresh and tasty sandwiches, along with a hot or cold beverage.

Take a break from the beach and have some lunch or snacks along with refreshing beverages.

There are many menu items to choose from, for your dining pleasure.

Some of the beverage items offered from their extensive menu are Organic teas, Single Origin coffees, Chocolate Milk, Espresso, Smoothies and Milkshakes.

Their food items are Sweets and Sandwiches.

They also have freshly ground coffee beans for you to enjoy at home.

Mulliri The Coffee Company is a great place, take my word for it!

My experiences have been very good every time I have eaten at Mulliri. The staff is very kind and patient. The food is great and the beverages are either as cold or as hot as they should be.

Mulliri The Coffee Company has a great website where you can see all of their locations and menu item offerings. They have locations in Tirana as well so you can also enjoy them there.

SAPORI GROCERIES AND FRESH PRODUCE

Sapori groceries and fresh produce market is centrally located and a great place to get fresh, whole foods, general groceries as well as wines and deli items.

Sapori is easy to find and centrally located!

It is centrally located, east of the Beach roundabout and Mulliri The Coffee Company, on Rruga Pelivan Leskaj. The Tulla Unaze Bus stops at the roundabout and Sapori groceries and fresh produce is a two-minute walk east, back the way the bus came.

There is a great selection of good quality fresh fruits and vegetables.

For all of the vegans and vegetarians, Sapori groceries and fresh produce is a great place to shop. I do believe they are the biggest produce place, with their very extensive selection and a wide variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. Some of the fruits and vegetables, they offer are imported and many are fresh from the farms in Albania. The quality is outstanding!!

Inside Sapori groceries and fresh produce is a treasure trove!

The store is much larger inside than it looks from the outside and is very nicely laid out and organized.

There is a wide variety of products ranging from the usual grocery store items to a full offering of alcoholic beverages.

In addition to the full line of alcohol such as beer, wines and hard liquor there is a large selection of cheeses and deli meats to compliment your wine selection. Furthermore, if you are in the market for a great sandwich they offer anything you could want.

Their general grocery store offering covers such things as cat and dog foods and accessories including collars, leashes, feed bowls, hygiene bags with dispenser, brushes, cat litter, and scoops.

Sapori groceries and fresh produce stocks personal care items including cotton buds, as well as the usual items found in grocery stores such as eggs, bread, and milk.

In conclusion, while providing a convenient and central location as well as a great selection of grocery and food products, Sapori is a great place to shop.

Therefore, when you need to get some groceries head on over to them and they will help you out!!
